📁Create a remediation

You can create the desired remediation for a test case.

Accessibility Tools comes with its own predefined set of remediations that apply to existing accessibility and compliance test cases. However, we at Clym understand that your business needs may be unique, so we provide you with the capability to create your own remediations that better suit your individual needs.

To create your own remediations:

  1. On the left-hand side navigation pane, click Remediations and then click the Add remediation button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

  2. In the Add remediation wizard screen, fill in the fields:

  • Remediation name (mandatory): Give your new remediation a meaningful name.

  • Description: Give your remediation a meaningful description.

  • Remediation target: Select the desired remediation target from the list, such as PDF, HTML, etc.

Under Examples:

  • Name (mandatory): Give your example a meaningful name

  • Description: Give your example a meaningful description

  • Code: Include a generic piece of code that would be used to implement this remediation whenever the case would be

  • + Add additional example: use this button to add an extra example to your new remediation; you can click the Remove button in case you want to remove one of the extra examples from the wizard

When finished, click Continue.

  1. In the next wizard screen, define the details of your remediation, as follows:

  • Category: Select the desired category from the list, such as ARIA, for example

  • Technique: Select the technique to which this remediation applies

  • Test case: From the list, select the test case to which this remediation applies

  • + Add additional test case: This should be used when you need to assign the same remediation to multiple test cases; just click the button and select another test case, as needed. You can click the Remove button in case you want to remove one of the extra test cases you added to the wizard for this remediation

When finished, click Create.

Your newly-created remediation is now displayed in the Remediations section using the USR_REM codification convention to differentiate between user created remediations and system remediations (SYS_REM).
